ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands, Jan. 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of Antonov plc is today delighted to announce that it has appointed John Moore as its Chief Executive.
John Moore (40) has twenty years experience within the automotive industry in both commercial and technical capacities having held a number of senior management positions in the sector. Prior to this appointment he was Commercial Director of Lotus Engineering, the engineering service division of the innovative sports car company, and was responsible for global sales and bid management. While at Lotus Engineering, John was also responsible for research and intellectual property exploitation and negotiated a number of successful licence agreements as part of his remit.
Throughout his career John has been involved in new technologies and innovative product development and their application in the automotive industry.
John graduated from Christ Church, Oxford in Engineering Science before embarking upon a career with Ricardo plc, which supplies technology-led automotive engineering services. While working at Ricardo, his technical area of expertise was transmission systems where he was involved in the invention, patenting and subsequent development and exploitation of an innovative car differential. John also held senior commercial positions at both Ricardo and John McGavigan Limited prior to joining Lotus.
