DALLAS, Jan. 31, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- TalkingStocks.com has issued an updated Profile Report on Markland Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:MRKL), a defense and homeland security company transforming advanced laboratory technology into real-world products. The report is authored by TalkingStocks.com Senior Investment Analyst, Jeff Bishop,
Mr. Bishop, as quoted in the report: "On January 28th, Markland announced another new program related to its ongoing contract with the U.S. Army's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD). This new program is for wholly owned EOIR Technologies to collaborate with the Army's researchers in developing advanced thermal imaging training programs. Under the terms of this program EOIR will supply the software to integrate the Army's training curriculum into a software-based, computer generated simulator. The goal of this project is to help soldiers fully utilize the potential of current advanced thermal and night vision sensor equipment. In this training, soldiers will use thermal imaging in an interactive curriculum to quickly recognize key "hotspots" on various vehicles that will enable them to distinguish between "combat" and "civilian," and then determine if the vehicle poses a threat. This will increase the soldier's reaction time in finding enemy targets."
