BALTIMORE, Feb. 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VYST), a homeland defense solutions provider, today announced the statistics and results of operations during Super Bowl week.
The Secure Scan Concealed Weapons Detection System was deployed at the VIP entrance of Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, for Super Bowl Week. The arena hosted official NFL events and the Pepsi Smash Concert during the week.
On Monday, January 31st, the Secure Scan was installed for initial operation at the red carpet entrance to the building. Approximately 483 VIP's entered through the portal. The warning levels were set to allow cell phone but no cameras. Keys, spare change, and belt buckles were permitted. 139 warnings were registered by the system. The majority of the warnings were for small cameras.
On February 4th, traffic through the portal was increased as security officials became accustomed to the unit's operations. On this evening, 764 persons entered through the portal and 261 warnings were registered. Officials from the Department of Homeland Security, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Jacksonville Sheriffs department observed the operations.
On the evening of the 5th, the portal scanned approximately 1700 people. The flow of people was approximately 600 per hour, well below the tested capability of 1800 per hour. 384 alarms were triggered this evening, generated by the sensitivity threshold.
