World Premiere of Waking Up Dead is Set For Chicago

HOLLYWOOD, April 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Film and Music Entertainment, Inc. (Pink Sheets:FLME) in association with Eris Productions and PTP Productions announced today that Waking Up Dead will make its world premiere this week in Chicago. The feature length documentary will be featured at the Chicago International Documentary Festival on Saturday, April 9, 2005.

The screening will take place at the Chopin Theatre in Chicago's famous Wicker Park art district at 10:15 PM. Tickets may be purchased for the film by calling 773-486-9612 or by going on the festival website at www.chicagodocfestival.org.

A post-screening party will be held at the "Producer's Lounge" at 12 midnight at the Chopin (1543 W.Division Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622) where attendees will mingle with the celebrities. "Out of Place," a local band from the Northwest side, will be rocking the venue until the beer runs out.

Producer-Director Fabio Jafet says, "Waking Up Dead is the real-life rise and fall of a rock star. It is an all-access, unprecedented look at what really goes down in the rock underworld. It exposes everything from the corruption of the music industry to the egos that end careers and break up families. There is very little glamour in the world of sex, drugs and rock 'n roll."

The film documents four years in the life of drummer, Phil Varone, formerly of the rock bands Saigon Kick and Skid Row. "I went to hell and back . . . and it's all captured on camera in Waking Up Dead. The premiere of this film represents a new chapter of my life, and will hopefully help change the lives of those who see it."

Waking Up Dead will be distributed domestically by Celebration Pictures Inc., a subsidiary of Film And Music Entertainment, Inc. It will be distributed internationally through Celebration International Pictures, Ltd.

A preview of Waking Up Dead may be seen on the film's website at www.wakingupdeadmovie.com.
