Stocks turned in a real sleeper Tuesday.
Altogether, stocks were boring and tepid. The day's first real up-tick came in the final hour as equities rallied to close flat. Investors looked spellbound by reports--or lack thereof--concerning the dollar's slip vs. the euro and other currencies, Kodak's delayed launch of new digital cameras, and CVS's action to protect drug supplies.
High-volume stocks included, Siebel Systems, Cisco Systems, and Sprint Corporation. Though most stocks were by and large ho-hum everywhere you looked, Schawk, Inc. surged.
