Headliners and SmartVideo Technologies Forge Agreement to Bring Rascals' Comedy Classics to Smart-Phones Across the Country

Comedy Routines Added to Lineup of Video Streams Available on Mobile Entertainment Medium


MONTCLAIR, N.J., June 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Headliners Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTCBB:HLEG) and SmartVideo Technologies (OTCBB:SMVD) announced today their latest multimedia agreement, a Rascals' Comedy Classics channel on SmartVideo Technologies' mobile entertainment broadcast. The addition of Rascals Comedy Classics to the SmartVideo broadcast only enhances the entertainment medium's robust programming lineup, which currently includes ABC News Now, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox Sports, E!-Entertainment, IFILM, The Weather Channel and more. The Rascals video streams are ideally suited for the mobile entertainment market as they are entertaining whether viewed for 30 seconds or 30 minutes.

The Rascals Comedy channel on SmartVideo will include more than 500 hours of short stand-up routines by comedy superstars, all of which were recorded live at the Rascals Comedy Clubs in New York, Los Angeles and New Jersey. The Rascals Comedy Clubs, which are a division of Headliners Entertainment Group, have earned the reputation among comedians as being a leading showcase for up-and-coming talent.

There are currently more than 50 million versions of smart phones and/or mobile devices capable of playing streamed video in use today. It is estimated that a whopping 250 million devises will be in use by 2008, a rapidly growing market the entertainment community is keeping a close eye on.
