VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Videomoviehouse.com Inc. (Pink Sheets:VMHVF), an innovative online DVD sales and rental company, announced the official launch of its affiliate sales program.
"Our affiliate sales program is innovative, creative, and very exciting for those choosing to get involved," said Mr. Steven Gaspar, President and CEO of Videomoviehouse.com. "We have chosen to market this to groups traditionally involved in various fund raising activities. Youth sports leagues, school vocal and marching bands groups, a wide variety of clubs and organizations, and schools and school districts have all responded favorably to our program."
The Company's affiliate program gives participants the ability to make money in two ways: When subscribers initially signup for the Company's online DVD rental program, and then through recurring monthly revenue when those subscribers renew their service with the Company.
In a recent move, Mr. James Carroll resigned as Chief Operating Officer, but will remain on as a full-time consultant to the Company and will spend his time building the affiliate program throughout North America.
"The design and nature of our affiliate program -- using it as a fund raising mechanism -- was a concept I suggested and pushed for when I initially joined the company," said Carroll. "I need to be out building this program, and demonstrating the incredible upside of becoming a Videomoviehouse.com affiliate. I've chosen to do this for the company on a full time basis."
While not restricted to fund raising organizations, to date the Company has signed 6 Affiliate Group Sales Representatives in North America who are directly marketing to these types of organizations. The affiliate program is open to all groups, organizations, website operators, online communities, and any other organizations or individuals seeking additional sources of income.
Groups currently marketing or expressing interest in the affiliate program include:
-- Abbotsford Youth Soccer League, with more than 3,000 kids participating -- Clearbrook Elementary School will start in September with 650 students participating -- Discussions are underway with various Southern California Little League organizations planning to join our affiliate program over the coming months. -- Discussions are also underway with various Las Vegas Little League organizations planning to join the affiliate program over the summer.
"It is my overall personal goal to bring in one million subscribers by the end of June 2006," continued Carroll. "My immediate short-term objective is to have every school in British Columbia notified of our affiliate program by the end of September, with sales reps in both Canada and the United States contacting every school fund raising organization as soon as classes are back in full session."
