BALTIMORE, Sept. 13, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that the Maryland District Court location on Patapsco Avenue in Baltimore is the first judicial facility in Maryland to install the SecureScan Concealed Weapons Detection System.

Funded by the Department of Justice and developed by the DOE's Federal Lab System, the SecureScan is the finest concealed weapons detection system available. While ignoring common items like coins, watches, and jewelry, the SecureScan is sensitive enough to locate and pinpoint hidden razor blades on the video image. The SecureScan records both the video and potential threat object for review and printing and interfaces with access control and bio-metric systems.
"We have been working closely with District Court staff to synchronize details for this system," stated Homeland Defense Products Manager, Dave Johansen. "As a result of their proficient efforts, this project came together smoothly. We are currently reviewing the installation plans for the other court facilities in the state."
