Sippin' by the River at Penn's Landing Features Fine Wines and Beers, Gourmet Food, Tutored Tastings, and Live Entertainment

11th Annual event to benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA)

 WHEN:         Sunday September 25, 2005 (RAIN OR SHINE)
               1-5 p.m.

 WHERE:        Festival Pier at Penn's Landing
               Columbus Blvd. and Spring Garden Street.

 WHAT:         World-famous wines and beers, food sampling, cooking
               demonstrations, gourmet cuisine from area restaurants,
               and live entertainment from the band DAME will highlight
               this festival benefiting the CCFA. Visitors will have a
               chance to also visit special pavilions to sample
               authentic beer and food, bid on great silent auction
               items, listen to the Sounds of Sinatra with Carlo
               Morelli, and even check the score of the Eagles Game!

               Tickets $30 on the day of the event. Typically a
               sell-out event, a limited number of tickets will be
               available at the gate. Those under 21 years of age will
               not be permitted to sample wine or beer.
               Proof of legal age is required.

 BACKGROUND:   Proceeds from Sippin' by the River, which topped more
               than $90,000 last year, benefit research, education, and
               support programs for people suffering from Crohn's
               disease and ulcerative colitis -- chronic digestive
               disorders of the small and large intestines collectively
               known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Currently,
               IBD affects and estimated one million Americans.

               CCFA, a voluntary, non-profit national organization,
               seeks to cure and prevent Crohn's disease and ulcerative
               colitis through research, and to improve the quality of
               life of children and adults affected by these digestive
               diseases through education and support.
