Scania the Most Admired Truck Company in Brazil


SODERTALJE, Sweden, Nov. 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Scania is one of Brazil's most admired companies, according to a study conducted by the leading Brazilian business magazine, Carta Capital. High-quality products and services, as well as customer relations in general, were decisive factors as Scania was selected for the third consecutive year as the best truck manufacturer with the most professional marketing organisation.

Carta Capital's "Most Admired Company" award, modelled on the U.S. business magazine Fortune's annual ranking by the same name, is based on interviews with representatives of the Brazilian business community. A total of 138 companies participated in the study. Scania received 23.4 points out of a possible 25 in its category. The prize was recently awarded at a ceremony in Sao Paulo attended by the President of Brazil, Luis Ignacio Lula da Silva, and other prominent guests.
