Calypso Wireless Successfully Demonstrated the C1250i Wi-Fi-GSM VoIP Skype Call Connectivity Cellular Phones on Vodafone Network at 3GSM Congress

(Pink Sheets:CLYW), a leader in advanced wireless telecommunications technology, announced today that Calypso successfully demonstrated at the 3GSM World Congress 2006 trade show in Barcelona, Spain, the Calypso ASNAP(tm) C1250i Wi-Fi-GSM Dual Mode VoIP Smart cellular phone and Imate SP5 interconnecting on the Vodafone mobile network. The Calypso ASNAP(tm) C1250i, which runs on Intel PXA series application processor and Microsoft WinCE 5.0 operating system, is able to interconnect with Skype for its long distance calls.

Calypso's ASNAP(tm) patented technology for which it was granted U.S. Patent No. 6,680,923 titled "Communication system and method" (http://www.uspto.gov search U.S. patent number 6,680,923), which covers the seamless roaming of voice, video and data between Wide Area Network cellular towers access points, such as GSM or Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA a Qualcomm technology) and short-range Internet access points (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.) is the solution to deliver seamless connectivity to mobile phones, laptops, PDA and mobile devices.
