TAMPA, Fla., June 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Internal Hydro International Inc. (OTCBB:IHDR) (www.InternalHydro.com) announces that it has taken the step of co-locating personnel with Earth First Technologies (EFTI) WESCO division's solid waste plant in Mobile, Alabama. As part of the existing IHDR letter of intent and projected agreement to license the technology for selected states inside the United States and Europe, IHDR will position one full time employee, along with the already present engineering observation and other support for full adaptation of the waste tire and bio-waste technology within IHDR and its overseas partner in Europe.
IHDR's entry into this area for the creation of energy from tires, agricultural, and other waste materials, is the start of the second division of the Company to be paired with its low hydro division utilizing the powerful Energy Commander technology. With each CAVD plant having a projected $2.5 million annual profit, and a projected production cost of approximately $5 million per plant, IHDR's Waste Remediation Division has a projected fill out of 20 plants domestically in its licensed states alone, and creation of a projected target of $50 million dollar a year profit for that division of the Company. IHDR, under the current Letter of Intent, to which the Company has already made substantial payment, is for the purchasing of licensed rights for the European Union, and Iowa and Minnesota, with additional rights of first refusal for several states.
The positioning of an onsite technical expert to work full time with the Mobile facility personnel is a commitment IHDR has decided is warranted given the positive outlook of the due diligence and operations of the Mobile facility thus far. IHDR, through this joint personnel operation will learn to operate and support both waste tire and bio-waste energy operations. IHDR considers that such personnel on site is in conformity with its plan for the second division of its renewable energy philosophy.
The CAVD technology was developed by EarthFirst to recycle tires and other waste by heating the material without burning it. The technology evolved from the Company's close working relationship with Oak Ridge National Laboratory and scientists from the newly independent states of the former Soviet Union. Based on the CAVD technology, EarthFirst's proprietary tire processing system produces usable energy and a broad range of valuable by-products, including steel, carbon, oils similar to kerosene and diesel fuel, and an energy-dense gas. CAVD utilizes tires and other renewable feedstocks, including agricultural waste, in a vacuum at a third of the typical pyrolysis temperature, preserving tire components and satisfying even the strictest emissions regulations (as verified by Oak Ridge). The EarthFirst process relies on proprietary catalysts to convert tires and other bio-waste at rapid rates. EFTI's prototype, fully operational plant is located in Mobile, Alabama.
