ZURICH, Switzerland, July 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nobel Biocare (Other OTC:NBCHF) has received the report from the expert panel named by Lakemedelsverket (Swedish Medical Products Agency, SMPA) to review the scientific data on NobelDirect(r). This report is part of the documentation that the SMPA will use to reach a decision. Nobel Biocare will review the expert report and give full attention to all points mentioned, including marketing material, and deliver its statement to the SMPA by August 9, 2006 as requested.
As indicated in previous statements, Nobel Biocare has provided all available scientific information to the SMPA and the expert panel. Data from Dr Rocci was reviewed and extensively discussed with an expert from Gothenburg University during the Company's meeting with the expert panel on July 10, 2006. This analysis and data was handed out to the expert group.
As in the past, Nobel Biocare will continue to fully assist the SMPA.
