NEW YORK, July 26, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Through its subsidiary, NEON Communications, Inc., a provider of advanced optical networking solutions and services to communications companies and large enterprise customers in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic markets, Globix Corporation (AMEX:GEX) has today announced it has signed and has begun implementation of a multi-year, long-term managed capacity services agreement with IDT Telecom, a subsidiary of IDT Corporation.
The service agreement enables NEON to build diverse, highly redundant fiber connectivity into IDT Telecom's switch locations in New Jersey. This connectivity will allow NEON to provide connectivity between IDT Telecom's switches, as well as connections from its switches and other strategic IDT connection points, providing increased carrier diversity, dependability and performance.
