The Feintool Group - a leading technology and systems provider and a globally operating components supplier based in Lyss, Switzerland - will be presenting two new products to the specialist market at EuroBlech, the major technology fair for the sheet metal working industry, held in Hanover. The first is an extended-table fineblanking press, the second a reference book entitled "Cold Forming and Fineblanking".
The 1,400 exhibitors from 40 different nations (including 61 from Switzerland) at EuroBlech 06 are expecting around 70,000 specialist visitors from all over the world. For Feintool, the technology leader in fineblanking/forming and market leader in fineblanking presses, the biennial fair is an opportunity to make a strong showing. Opening day, 24 October, is a doubly important day because Feintool will be unveiling two innovative new products. A new reference book will be presented to trade journalists at the press conference, while a new fineblanking press will be unveiled with a mixture of technology, spectacle and hospitality at the company's high-profile stand.
New comprehensive reference work for the industry
"Cold Forming and Fineblanking - A handbook on cold processing, material properties, part design" was produced under the direction of Feintool in collaboration with its steel industry partners, Buderus, C.D. Wälzholz and Hoesch, and the Technical University of Munich. It is published by Carl Hanser Verlag. Its 270 pages give specialists a comprehensive insight into materials and manufacturing technology. Instructions for mass producing precision steel parts and suggestions for improving efficiency are backed up by tables, graphs and illustrations. Feintool-Information, the Group's longstanding technical magazine for customers, has also appeared in time for EuroBlech.
Combining the tried-and-tested and the innovative: new extended-table press
Behind the unassuming name Feintool HFAplus LT lies an innovative concept that has been designed to expand applications and increase productivity. The double-size tool table is capable of accommodating multi-stage modular tools and total press forces of between 450 and 1,100 tonnes. This not only facilitates more efficient tool making, but, thanks to increased stroke rates and cutting orders, makes it possible to double output and reduce parts costs by around 20%. These are crucial competitive advantages for Feintool's customers.
SCHMiD, the Feintool Group's second press brand, has its own stand at EuroBlech. It will be presenting its new X-TRA range, whose servo drive system helps to substantially improve efficiency.
The Feintool presence at EuroBlech will be rounded off by information and exhibits covering all the Group's core competencies and illustrating the complex processes involved in the mass production of metal and plastic components, including automatic assembly. A live magic show featuring striking effects will present Feintool's technology to fairgoers in an easy-to-understand way.
