The Electric Power Board of Chattanooga Contracts for Systems & Software's enQuesta

COLCHESTER, Vt. and CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Dec. 19, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Systems & Software, Inc. (www.systemsandsoftware.net ) is pleased to announce that the Electric Power Board (EPB) (Chattanooga, Tenn.) has decided to implement enQuesta(tm)'s advanced technology solutions to support their electric CIS requirements.

As one of the largest publicly owned providers of electric power in the country, EPB serves more than 166,000 residents in a 600 square-mile area. Presently it offers a rate which is 24% below the national average and 50% lower than most major U.S. cities.

EPB will take advantage of new technological benefits through this project, which include enhanced Integrated Voice Response (IVR) functionality through the use of Web Services. "We believe this will increase internal efficiencies as well as allow us to meet unforeseen future requirements with minimal effort," said David Thomas, Senior Corporate Technical Consultant, Strategic Systems, EPB.

The electric utility also plans to leverage enQuesta(tm)'s Mobile Work Management interface to extend mobile computing to the field service personnel. The Mobile Work Management Interface will provide seamless integration between enQuesta(tm) and an advanced Mobile Workforce Management System. This will allow EPB's Field Service Personnel to close "paperless" work orders on enQuesta(tm) directly from the field.

"Given the scale and complexity of our account base, it was imperative that we reduce the project risk by leveraging Systems & Software's domain expertise and process capability to minimize the overall time typically required to successfully implement a CIS solution," said Anita James, Corporate Technical Consultant and Project Manager for EPB.

Jeff Kao, CEO, Systems & Software Inc., said, "EPB is a great partner with a strong management team. Together, we will leverage Systems & Software's technology to drive advanced business performance for EPB."
