VINX Index Information: Adjustment of Protect Data in VINX Benchmark index (11/07)


According to the press release from Check Point published on January 11, 2007 regarding the offer in Protect Data it is announced that the acceptance level has reached 87.1 percent of the total amount of shares in Protect Data. Check Point announces that the offer is continued and that they will acquire the shares and warrants which have been tendered. Finally the offer is prolonged until January 22, 2007. 

VINX Benchmark is free float adjusted to accurately reflect the investabilitiy of the underlying securities of the index. The changed ownership constitutes an event that has a considerable impact on the investability of Protect Data. Stockholm Stock Exchange will therefore adjust the free float in accordance with Rule 5.8.2 of  ”Rules for the Construction and Maintenance of the VINX All-Share, Sector, Benchmark and Tradable Indices”. 

The free float factor for WM-data will be changed after close of business on January 17, 2007. The free float factor in Protect Data will change from 90 per cent (0.9) to 12 per cent (0.12). New number of shares in Protect Data (SE0000387607) included in the calculation of VINX Benchmark index from business start on January 18, 2007 will be 2 755 602.
