PAUL, MINN.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2007--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) today announced it has expanded its leadership team with the additions of Scott Swoish as senior vice president of sales operations, Fady Sfeir as vice president of indirect channels for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Barry Wilderman as vice president of business strategy. Swoish has more than 20 years of sales experience. As senior vice president of sales operations he will oversee the company's worldwide sales operations team. Before joining Lawson, Swoish served as senior vice president of global consulting and sales operations, Manila delivery center and partner alliances, for SPL WorldGroup Inc. Before SPL, he held executive leadership roles at PeopleSoft/JD Edwards and Geac Enterprise Solutions' Americas Division. Sfeir joins Lawson as vice president of indirect channels in EMEA. In this role, Sfeir will concentrate on expanding Lawson's indirect sales initiatives throughout the entire region. Sfeir has 20 years of sales experience in the application software industry. Before joining Lawson, he served as Oracle's senior sales director for the SMB (small/medium business) applications business in EMEA. Before Oracle, Sfeir held senior leadership roles at a variety of companies in the application software industry including PeopleSoft/JD Edwards and Metsys. Wilderman joins Lawson as vice president of business strategy. In this position, Wilderman will lead initiatives that link Lawson's overall business strategies and value stories with the organization's sales objectives. Wilderman, an industry authority on total cost of ownership (TCO), will develop strategies that ultimately showcase Lawson's return on investment and value messages. Wilderman has worked for more than 20 years in executive positions at various companies and has a wide range of analytical, management, marketing and product management skills. Most recently, he served as vice president of NPD Group, where he managed the activities of a group of industry analysts specializing in consumer electronics and IT hardware and software. Previously, Wilderman was senior vice president at META Group, where he was an analyst in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software space.
