XsunX Broadens Scientific and Management Capabilities


ALISO VIEJO, Calif., March 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- XsunX, Inc. (OTCBB:XSNX), developer of advanced manufacturing systems and cell structures for solar energy, today announced that Mr. Robert Wendt has joined the Company's management staff as Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Wendt will focus on the management and control of all aspects of scientific operations including manufacturing, engineering, product development, facilities, and technology departments.

According to Joseph Grimes, the COO of XsunX, "Robert's background in thin films solar technology, management and execution of commercialization efforts for solar technologies, and an overall strong scientific background provides XsunX with a tremendous amount of practical hands on experience. Mr. Wendt's career spans over 20 years providing scientific research and management services. From 1995 to 2005 he assisted in the growth and development of Tucson based Global Solar where over the course of his career he held the positions of Director of Operations, Manager of Technical & Advanced R&D, and V.P of Sales and Product Development where his efforts assisted the company in achieving significant growth in revenues. Working for Lockheed Martin he was a principal investigator and/or program manager for over 20 advanced materials development projects. His experience includes plant and production equipment design and implementation.

Mr. Wendt holds two degrees from the Colorado School of Mines: a Bachelor's of Science in Metallurgical Engineering and a Master's in Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering.
