C++ Pioneer Stanley Lippman and Game Industry Veterans Lee Fancey and David Gregory Join Emergent Game Technologies

Emergent Welcomes Three Respected Scalability and Pipeline Management Leaders Within the Electronic Entertainment Industry

CALABASAS, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 7, 2007 -- Emergent Game Technologies today announced that it has hired three key staff members hailing from some of the country's leading electronic entertainment organizations. Joining Stanley Lippman, pioneer of the C++ computer programming language, are engineering veterans Lee Fancey and David Gregory. Along with Emergent's team of engineers, they will focus on tackling the major pipeline issues currently threatening the game development industry.

In his role as Emergent's Senior Server Engineer, Lippman will be responsible for the core technology behind Emergent's Server Element as well as server-specific content creation tools. His career includes experience as C++ Architect for both Microsoft and Bell Laboratories. He spent six years in Feature Animation at DreamWorks and Walt Disney Feature Animation -- where his impressive technical movie credits include "Fantasia 2000," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Mulan" and "Tarzan." Lippman has written several widely used books on C++ and C#.

Fancey, an industry leader in scaling the content production pipeline, will lead Emergent as its Studio Head in Walnut Creek, CA. He will oversee a range of operations, including building tools to meet the demands of tomorrow's games and creating scalable software development practices. Fancey most recently established worldwide configuration management for Electronic Arts. While at EA he oversaw the build system, production and automation development for numerous top-selling video games including The Sims Online, Sims 2, Sims 2 Console, Godfather, and many others. He was responsible for best practices in EA's upcoming Spore. Lee also ran and unified configuration management for three Electronic Arts studios: EA Redwood Shores, EA LA, and the Sims division.

Gregory, a leader in reusable technology and production process improvement, joined Emergent as its System Architect, focusing on scalable pipelines and rapid iteration. Gregory spent the past 11 years at Electronic Arts working on such critically acclaimed titles as The Sims 2, The Sims Livin' Large, The Sims House Party, Tiger Woods PGA '07 and Soviet Strike. Gregory was development director for The Sims 2, and led the creation of the first "from source" content build system at EA. He was also co-Senior Development Director of the central technology groups for EA Redwood Shores and Maxis.

"Games today are larger and more complex than they've ever been," said Geoffrey Selzer, CEO of Emergent.
