OKLAHOMA CITY, April 27, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Dobson Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:DCEL), today announced that its treasurer, Richard D. Sewell, Jr., had passed away unexpectedly the evening of Thursday, April 26, 2007.
"Apart from his many significant contributions to Dobson in his professional capacity as treasurer, Richard was a source of wisdom, encouragement and good counsel to many of us at Dobson Communications," said Everett Dobson, chairman. "He was a good friend, and he will be missed."
The Company stated that Bruce Knooihuizen, chief financial officer, will manage Dobson's Treasury activities on an interim basis.
