CALGARY, Alberta, June 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Clean Power Technologies Inc. (OTCBB:CPWE) (Frankfurt, XETRA:C1L) (www.cleanpowertech.co.uk), a developer of a unique and environmentally friendly alternative hybrid power technology, attended Green 2007. The Green 2007 conference was held in Bahrain from May 29th thru 31st. Clean Power was represented by its President and CEO Mr. Abdul Mitha, its project director Mr. Mike Burns and Mr. Robert Bayley, representing Prof. Bayley, inventor of Clean Power's CESAR Process technology.
The Green2007 conference was a dedicated Business-to-Business (B2B) forum designed to allow environmentally friendly businesses to network and promote their technologies and solutions. The conference was attended by over 40 North American and European companies which are involved in either energy sectors or developing and/or marketing renewable and alternative fuel technologies. Abdul Mitha, President and CEO of Clean Power Technologies, stated, "The Green2007 conference was very successful in bringing us (Clean Power) together with regional (Middle East) venture capitalists, investment banks, and high net worth individual investors. Our (Clean Power's) project was instantly recognized for its unique technology and the vast potential for commercial applications. We (Clean Power) received great deal of interest and positive feedback."
The Middle Eastern region includes some of the fastest growing economies globally and is rapidly emerging as a world leader in adopting green technologies. This conference gave Clean Power an excellent chance to share its unique Steam/Hybrid technology with the regional participants that are highly interested in clean technologies and the environment. Clean Power was graciously welcomed by the representatives of Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB). During the three days, EDB introduced Clean Power to various investment bankers, venture capitalists and local entrepreneurs and investors who took keen interest in Clean Power's hybrid power technology and have expressed a desire to explore the opportunity for future collaboration efforts. EDB has invited Clean Power to consider Bahrain for future expansion as part of its growth strategy and future development.
The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) is a dynamic public agency with an overall responsibility for formulating and overseeing the economic development strategy of Bahrain, and for creating the right climate to attract direct investment into the Kingdom. The EDB is chaired by His Highness the Crown Prince and Commander-in-Chief of the BDF Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The EDB's Board of Directors consists of seven key ministers and seven leading executives from the private sector. The Board's composition is designed to enable both the public and private sectors to work closely together to achieve Bahrain's strategic objectives for change and growth. H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Essa Al-Khalifa, Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board, has accepted Clean Power's invitation and plans to visit its development facility in Newhaven, England, later this year.
"A number of the delegates congratulated the Clean Power team on our fresh approach in developing gasoline / steam hybrid power technology. Many attendees at the conference understood the powerful message which Clean Power presented and they were impressed by the caliber of the Management along with the advanced stage of our development," stated Mr. Mitha. He continued, "This conference exceeded our best expectations and it was both encouraging and exciting to know that even other competing companies at the conference found Clean Power's project compelling and powerful. Conferences such as these are generally designed to create awareness and contacts but I believe this was much more than that, Clean Power received genuine interest in the project and compliments from many attendees and EDB itself."
