Mortsel, Belgium / Greenville, SC (US) - September 13, 2007 - 9:00 EDT
Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, announces today that it has inked a second, five-year agreement to provide Enterprise PACS technology for the entire Florida Division of Adventist Health System (Orlando, Florida, US). The new 35 million dollar [1], five-year agreement covers all 17 Adventist Health hospitals in the Florida Division, as well as its 7 associated Outpatient Centers and the centralized Data Center. By upgrading to Agfa HealthCare's latest PACS technology, the Florida Division of Adventist Health will further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of distributing diagnostic information and images to its member hospitals and its physicians.
The agreement includes the delivery of Agfa HealthCare's DX-S(TM) units, CR 35-X(TM) and CR 85-X(TM) systems, MUSICA² (TM), IMPAX(TM) for Orthopaedics, and Archive solutions. The arrangement also enables Florida Hospital to expand its Data Center, which will archive all diagnostic images for the Florida Division, including mammography and cardiology images.
"We have chosen to continue our relationship with Agfa HealthCare because of the good working relationship we have enjoyed so far," said Lars Houmann, president and CEO, Florida Hospital and the Florida Division. "Additionally, the overall reliability of the Agfa HealthCare solution and the significant work that has been done to integrate several other systems with the Agfa HealthCare system in the past, has further strengthened our decision. Agfa HealthCare has more than earned our trust for this significant growth project, which will make Florida Hospital one of the most technologically advanced systems in the country," he added.
