Evia Plc Stock Exchange Bulletin September 19, 2007 at 8.00 a.m. Evia will separate its marketing communication business which will take back its former brand name Viherjuuri. Viherjuuri is very well-known in the Finnish marketing communication sector. The use of a separate brand will enable more flexible operations and communication activities independent of investor relations communication. Viherjuuri was established in 1955 and it is with it's 60 employees one of the biggest creative marketing communication agencies in Finland. The change will be executed as a business transfer from the parent company to a wholly owned subsidiary Viherjuuri Helsinki Oy on October 1, 2007. The transfer is estimated to have no immediate effect on personnel in the companies. The change in Evia Plc's group structure has no effect on the Group's shareholders. Trading of Evia Plc's share (EVI1V) will continue unchanged on the OMX Nordic Exchange. Evia Plc will continue as a Group focusing on marketing and communication. Evia's goal over the next 3 to 5 years is to gather a group of 8 to 10 business units, whose business areas and competence profiles complement each other and increase the efficiency of their customers' marketing and communication activities. The expansion will be done either by acquisitions or by establishing units in future growth areas.
