CORAL GABLES, Fla., Sept. 27, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Snaidero USA, the exclusive North American distributor of Snaidero, Italy's leading manufacturer of high-end kitchen cabinetry, is celebrating the Grand Opening of its Coral Gables, FL corporate showroom with a VIP Reception, sponsored by Architectural Digest, which will take place tonight at the new location at 4110 Ponce de Leon Blvd.
This is going to be the second showroom for Snaidero USA in the Miami market, as the company has been operating in the area for several years through a location in Hollywood. The expansion comes as a consequence of the growing demand for high-quality, made-in-Italy kitchens that have become the furniture of desire for the ultra-affluent consumers. Unique, functional design and detailed craftsmanship are what these customers want, and this is what they get from Snaidero USA.
The showroom represents the second partnership between multi-awarded Italian architect Giorgio Borruso, a young talent of international fame, and Snaidero USA. The idea for the Coral Gables showroom was to have dynamic architectural elements that would naturally lead the visitors in their journey through the space to let them experience the kitchens at their best. The inspiration for the design came to Mr. Borruso from the observation of the aerial root system of a particular plant, the "Ficus Magnolioides." In the architect's own words, in the showroom, "there is a central trunk from where 18 (white and orange) pipes are leaving the ground to reach a higher altitude, then start to move through the space in what appears to be a chaotic system in which they intersect and overlap. Then, at certain precise points, they turn perpendicular and dramatically go down at full speed to make contact with the floor." Some of these pipes, before touching the floor, open themselves to house graphic displays that educate the visitor about the history of Snaidero USA and the rich design tradition that lives in each and every one of the Snaidero kitchens.
This is the company's latest, crucial addition to an already strong distribution network of exclusive dealers and corporate-owned outlets spread all over North America.
