Gigya Adds Ability to Track Actions Within Widgets
Gigya Launches "In Widget" Measurement Flash Component; Lets Widget Developers Track Unlimited Number of Actions in Widgets
| Quelle: Gigya
PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2007) - Gigya,
the emerging widget distribution and
tracking network, today announced an updated version of its online real-time widget tracking service, that
includes the ability to define and track any type of activity within
Widgets. When used in conjunction with Gigya's Wildfire, developers can
track the performance of their widgets from the initial widget installation
on a user page all the way to viewing a video or clicking on a link within
the widget.
"The magic of widgets happens when users interact with them and you cannot
improve the widget performance unless you measure every action a user can
take on it," states Eyal Magen, CEO and co-founder, Gigya. "Our hundreds of
partners can now really dive into the data and make educated changes."
With just a few lines of code, a developer can set the Gigya component to
measure actions such as when a user starts playing a movie, pauses it or
gets to the end of a clip. Because each widget is so unique, Gigya lets
developers choose their own names for actions so they make sense when
tracking any type of widget, be it a game, music player or slideshow.
As always, Gigya makes sure that the integration of this tool into a Flash
widget is a simple process that should not take more than an hour.
Developers can configure the tool using the online customization interface
at www.gigya.com and then implement it into their Flash widget.
