Tail-f Systems Ships First and Only NETCONF Library for Element Management Systems

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN--(Marketwire - October 25, 2007) - Tail-f Systems announced today that it is shipping Instant NETCONF Manager™ -- the first and only NETCONF Java library designed to rapidly develop southbound NETCONF interfaces for element and network management systems. Instant NETCONF Manager's 100% Java API will easily integrate with existing platforms and databases used by legacy element management systems.

The NETCONF protocol is an IETF standard (RFCs 4741 and 4742) that defines a programmatic interface enabling management applications to automate the configuration and monitoring of network elements. Network operators and large enterprises see NETCONF as a promising tool to reduce OPEX and avoid service outages caused by manual configuration errors. Tail-f's Instant NETCONF Manager implements all base operations and optional capabilities of the NETCONF standard.

Instant NETCONF Manager is shipping and available for evaluation. The Ganymed SSH-2 implementation of the SSH version 2 protocol and an XML-centric Configuration API are included in the product.
