Group market trends and yield development
SAS Group carried 3.9 million passengers in October, up for the 31st consecutive
month. On a 12 months basis the Group has carried more than 41 million
passengers. The problems with 27 Dash 8 Q400 in October affected capacity and
traffic negatively by approx 1-2 p.u. on Group level and appr 2 p.u. for
Scandinavian Airlines.
Yield for Scandinavian Airlines in September was up 3%, which was slightly
higher than earlier indicated. The yield is positively affected by good capacity
control, active yield management and positive effects from the new commercial
initiatives launched in March. For October 2007 the yield change is expected to
be in line with September. The full year direct result impact from the Q400
problems is estimated to be approx. MSEK 600-700.

The market is characterized by good demand and passenger growth. The yield
environment continues to be favorable. There are still uncertainties regarding
the strength of future growth as well as the competitive situation and the
record high jet fuel prices.
