Drug Fair is Latest Retail Partner to Add HealthSport's PediaStrips

AMHERST, N.Y., Jan. 8, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HealthSport, Inc.(OTCBB:HSPO), a fully integrated developer, manufacturer and marketer of branded nutritional supplements in a one-of-a-kind edible film strip delivery system, announced today that Drug Fair Group, a NJ based drugstore chain, has purchased Enlyten(tm) PediaStrips(tm) (http://pediastrips.com) to be carried in their stores beginning in mid January. PediaStrips(tm) are designed to deliver electrolytes to children who are at risk for dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhea.

"Adding Drug Fair Group to our growing list of retailers for our Enlyten PediaStrips brand is right in line with our strategic plan as we enter into the New Year," stated Gary Thomas, HealthSport's V.P. of Sales. "Drug Fair's customer-focused philosophy, which offers service, quality, value, and selection along with new and exciting merchandise -- priced right when you want it -- makes PediaStrips a nice addition to their current product offerings."

Drug Fair Group, Inc., the 22nd largest drug store chain in the United States, operates 53 pharmacy and general merchandise stores in northern and central New Jersey under the Drug Fair (www.drugfair.com) and Cost Cutters (www.costcuttersonline.com) banners. An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc. ("Sun Capital"), a leading private investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts of market-leading companies, acquired Drug Fair in November 2005.

About Enlyten PediaStrips

Enlyten(tm) PediaStrips(tm) (http://pediastrips.com) rapidly dissolve in the mouth and deliver the active ingredients through the oral mucosa. PediaStrips contain permeation enhancers, which increase electrolyte absorption in the oral mucosa, bypassing absorption through the child's ailing digestion system. In the past, electrolyte replacement has only been available as a liquid rehydration solution. Children who are ill may struggle to drink these products due to large recommended doses or because they dislike the taste.

In addition, Enlyten PediaStrips deliver essential electrolytes to children without sugar or other non-essential additives, an important feature for parents. Enlyten PediaStrips will bring an exciting change to a relatively stagnant retail category, monopolized by liquid rehydration solutions. Retailers want to attract moms within all product categories, and PediaStrips offer an innovative product that will drive sales.

PediaStrips provide a unique, easy way to give children electrolytes without fluid, which allows children to choose any beverage they prefer. Parents can feel good because they know kids are getting the electrolytes they need, even if they only drink water. PediaStrips comes in three great flavors: berry, orange, and grape.
