Peab Industri acquires the remaining share of Vendels Grus Through its subsidiary Swerock, Peab Industri has signed an agreement to acquire the Municipality of Uppsala's share of Vendels Grus. Swerock already owned 50 per cent of the company, which after the deal will be a wholly owned subsidiary. Vendels Grus engages in the extraction of gravel from a number of pits around Uppsala. Its sales amount to some SEK 35 million per year, and the company employs a staff of 11. “Vendels Grus is a well run company which fits in well with our gravel and rock activities in the important Stockholm and Mälardalen markets”, says KG Karlsson, deputy CEO of Peab Industri. Today, the executive board of Uppsala city approved the agreement, which will be submitted to the district council for adoption on 28 January.
