MONTREAL, Feb. 6, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- AbsoluteSKY, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ABSY) has successfully completed an intense round of field testing of its intelliTRACKER(tm) Product Suite in conjunction with potential customers having particularly demanding environmental conditions.
The RFID-based intelliTRACKER(tm) Product Suite is already performing flawlessly in retail operations where it actively tracks individual inventory items, in large volumes, at ranges in the order of 100 feet and farther. But, the Company wanted to subject the system to rigorous performance testing in harsher "uncooperative" environments where RFID systems have been traditionally handicapped. Assurances from these tests will also aid in concluding customer negotiations.
Over the past several weeks, the Company successfully tested intelliTRACKER(tm) in three diverse and challenging environments:
* Metals: long range performance at the facilities of a major metals recycling firm (literally tons of ferrous and non ferrous metals in a rugged, dynamic working environment); * Liquids: volume and performance testing on pallets, boxes and individual bottles (over 600 per pallet) in a liquor distribution warehouse and a hospitality business; * Adverse Weather: continuous outdoor operation in snow and obscuration at sub-zero temperatures.
