Preliminary figures
M.A.X. Automation AG achieves record sales and earnings in 2007
Düsseldorf, February 12, 2008 In 2007, M.A.X. Automation AG posted the
best ever results in its corporate history. Preliminary revenue generated
by the international specialist for environmental systems and industrial
automation was up about 20% to approximately EUR 220 million, following EUR
183.7 million in 2006.
Group earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose by more than 23% to over
EUR 18 million (2006: EUR 14.6 million). Group net profit saw
overproportional growth of about 30% to approximately EUR 11 million (2006:
EUR 8.5 million). The group clearly exceeded its own 2007 forecasts:
revenue in excess of EUR 200 million and more than EUR 10 million in
profit.
In 2007, consolidated order intake for the group was up about 17% to more
than EUR 240 million, following EUR 206 million the year before.
In light of the dynamic growth in its industries and the companys positive
development, the Management Board expects to be able to continue the
group's revenue and earnings growth in full fiscal 2008 on the basis of its
existing investment portfolio. The board said the key focus in 2008 on
further group growth will be based on targeted acquisitions.
