Global ePoint AirWorks Division Awarded Large Contract for Cockpit Door Surveillance Systems

Major European Airline to Install 175 CDSS Kits


CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., March 24, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Global ePoint, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GEPT), a leading manufacturer of security technologies for the aviation, law enforcement, commercial and industrial markets, today announced its aviation division, Global AirWorks, has received a large order for its Cockpit Door Surveillance System (CDSS).

The order is for purchase of 175 CDSS kits to be used on a major European Airline in conformance with EUROCAE ED-123.

The European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE) made recommendations titled "Minimum Operational Performance Specification for Flight Deck Door Monitoring System" in 2005. Global AirWorks CDSS meets those operational performance specifications -- having been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration FAA -- and is the acknowledged industry leader, having installed over 800 CDSS systems worldwide.

In turn, each European Country is to set their own dates for applying the EUROCAE ED-123 specifications, with appropriate mandates for the installation of CDSS in their respective passenger airlines and aircraft. Thus, Global AirWorks is well positioned for future contracts as these foreign mandates continue to be implemented and applied.

The third milestone Critical Design Review (CDR) has been completed and accepted, with appropriate payment made. The next milestone, First Article Inspection (FAI) is nearing completion, as well.
