John Paul Caponigro and R. Mac Holbert Expand 'Fine Art of Digital Printing' Workshops

After Overwhelming Success, Duo Joins Forces Again to Offer Bicoastal Workshop With State-of-the-Art Technology and One-On-One Mentoring

LONG BEACH, Calif., March 31, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Epson America, Inc. today announced that John Paul Caponigro and R. Mac Holbert, two of the pre-eminent leaders in digital photography and fine art printing, are joining forces once again to conduct the "Fine Art of Digital Printing" workshop to provide one-on-one instruction with access to Epson's industry-leading digital printing technology. Due to the overwhelming response to earlier workshops, the Fine Art of Digital Printing will be offered on the East Coast and West Coast at the state-of-the-art digital printing labs of Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, Mass., July 20-25, and at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif., Oct. 26-31.

"Last year's workshops were truly a success, providing attendees a unique opportunity to participate hands-on in an intimate setting," said Caponigro, world-renowned digital artist. "We're looking forward to expanding the reach of this year's workshops to even more photographers at a conducive location on the East Coast."

Caponigro and Holbert created the Fine Art of Digital Printing workshop to foster growth and creativity among professionals and serious advanced amateurs. The workshop covers topics impacting the entire printing workflow and employs innovative techniques with the industry's leading printing technology. Committed to producing the finest digital prints, as well as teaching with the highest quality products in the industry, Caponigro and Holbert have arranged again for students to work with Epson's award-winning printers, inks and media.

"Many elements impacted the overall success of last year's workshops -- the venue, technology, content, and the attendees themselves," said Holbert, master printmaker and co-founder, Nash Editions. "Both the Brooks Institute and the Hallmark Institute provide ideal environments for photographers to expand their creative knowledge, helping us deliver a memorable and valuable experience for all attendees."

To ensure an intimate learning environment, the Fine Art of Digital Printing workshop is limited to 24 attendees. Valued at $1,995, this workshop is offered at an exclusive price of $1,495, thanks to the support provided by Epson. This fee includes all lab costs, complete access to the digital printing lab until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, unlimited use of ink and media, plus materials and postage to properly ship any prints made during the workshop. In addition, catered lunches will be provided each day to allow attendees to maximize the amount of time they have with the instructors and in the digital labs.
