Rock Energy Resources, Inc. Announces Two New Independent Directors


HOUSTON, April 16, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Rock Energy Resources, Inc. (OTCBB:RCKE), a producer engaged in the exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas, today announced the appointment of two new independent directors, J.D. McGraw and Tim R. Lindsay, to the company's board of directors.

J.D. McGraw has over 25 years experience in all stages of business development, including large-scale roll-ups, and has held numerous positions including founder, CEO and president in a wide range of business sectors including the oil & gas industry. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Nova Biosource Fuels.

Tim Lindsey has over 30 years of technical and executive leadership expertise in global exploration, production, technology, and business development. He is currently a Director and interim President/Chief Executive Officer of Daybreak Oil and Gas Corporation and also serves as a Director for Challenger Energy Corporation, a Calgary-based oil and gas company. Since March, 2005, Mr. Lindsey has been a Principal of Lindsey Energy and Natural Resources, a private consulting firm specializing in energy and mining industry issues.
