TSA Approves ExcelAire's Private Jet Terminal as New Gateway to Washington Reagan Airport

RONKONKOMA, NY--(Marketwire - May 28, 2008) - ExcelAire (www.excelaire.com) today announced that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approved its new private jet terminal at Long Island's MacArthur Airport as a departure point for travel to Washington Reagan Airport (DCA), making it one of only 21 gateway airports approved for travel into the nation's capitol.

The approval came after ExcelAire passed rigorous TSA security checks and implemented special security procedures for trips to Reagan Airport. Flights into DCA require unique, comprehensive security measures. After Sept. 11, 2001, the government banned all private flights into the airport due to security concerns. Limited flights to Reagan resumed in 2005, via a select group of approved gateway airports and approved private jet operators.
