Presentation of Second Quarter Results

Kaupthing Bank will publish its second quarter results for 2008
before markets open on Thursday 31 July.

A presentation for shareholders and market participants will be held
on the same day, 31 July, at Kaupthing's headquarters in Reykjavik at
Borgartun 19. The presentation will start at 8:30 am local time
(10:30 am CET) and will be held in English. Hreidar Már Sigurdsson,
CEO of Kaupthing Bank, will present the Bank's results and answer
questions.
