all sizes, today announced that it achieved tremendous growth in revenues
and customers during the first half of 2008. During that period, the
company also released its most significant product upgrade to-date, doubled
its worldwide partner base, and continued to receive accolades for its

Record Financial & Customer Base Growth
Adaptive Planning's first half revenues more than tripled from the same
period in the prior year, and the company now counts over 300 companies as
clients. In addition to growth from midsize companies, customers between
$500 million and $5 billion in annual revenues, such as Fallon Community
Health Plan, National Dairy Holdings LP, and Rheem Manufacturing, helped to
significantly boost sales. Growth was particularly strong among business
services, computer software, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail and
wholesale clients, as well as in the nonprofit sector. This increase in
customer numbers occurred while maintaining outstanding satisfaction levels
-- in the first quarter the company achieved the highest customer
satisfaction rating among leading performance management vendors in an
independent industry survey.
Partnership-Driven Expansion
In the first half of 2008, Adaptive Planning dramatically expanded its
partner network, more than doubling its domestic and international partner
base. Over 135 firms in North America, Europe, Asia and South America now
work closely with Adaptive Planning to drive joint marketing and sales
activities and deliver services. In the first half of 2008, partners
contributed to more than 30 percent of new customers wins.
Global "Test Drive" Programs
Over 75 percent of new customers participated in one of the company's
global "Test Drive" programs, which include online demos, 30-day trials,
and a free entry-level budgeting application, Adaptive Planning Express
Edition. The on-premise version of Express Edition, which is available via
open source download from SourceForge, has generated over 65,000 downloads
from over 85 countries to-date, and consistently places as the #1-ranked
project in key SourceForge categories such as Budgeting & Forecasting and
BPM software.
New Product Release and Web Site
In June, the company announced Adaptive Planning 5.0, its most significant
release since the product was first launched. Version 5.0 offers major
enhancements that bring new power, flexibility, and simplicity to
budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. The new release also
introduces two groundbreaking offerings -- private team collaboration
spaces and a public financial best practices community -- which allow
business users to improve organizational alignment, access and share
financial best practices, and ultimately drive more agile, intelligent, and
strategic business decisions. Additionally, the company continued to set
the standard for SaaS vendors and other providers of mission-critical
enterprise software by publishing uptime performance -- which averaged
99.92 percent over the last twelve months.
