Longfellow Benefits, Boston, Adds Two Senior Consultants


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - September 10, 2008) - Longfellow Benefits, Boston-based benefits consultants and brokers, added Jennifer Whitney of Scituate as a senior consultant, employee benefits, and Lawrence Karle of Hingham as a senior consultant, retirement services.

Whitney has more than 20 years' experience in employee benefits and most recently was an account manager with a large national brokerage firm. Previously, she was a manager with third-party plan administrator, specializing in self-funded medical plans, consumer-driven plans, flexible spending accounts and COBRA administration.

She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Boston College and is a licensed insurance broker. She is currently pursuing her CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation.

Karle has more than 12 years of professional experience in the field of retirement, most recently as a senior relationship manager in the national accounts division of MassMutual, helping plan participants reaching their retirement savings goals. His areas of expertise include defined-contribution plan design, monitoring and reviewing investment results, plan conversions, fiduciary management, and trends in participant communication and education.

He earned a bachelor's degree with a concentration in finance from Loyola College in Baltimore as well as an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Massachusetts.
