PSI Group ASA and Mestergruppen AS has recently signed an exclusive framework agreement for digital signage to Byggeriets stores in Norway. The intention is that PSI's complete and modern IP-based solution for interactive presentation of targeted information through the use of TV monitors in-store, MyTV Media, is to be implemented at all of the chain's stores in Norway in the long term. - This is not only an important breakthrough for digital signage on the Norwegian market - but it represents even a Norwegian record. The frame agreement kicks-off as PSI makes the largest single implementation of on-screen advertising posters in one store in Norway. It happens in Stavanger in the course of a month, when Byggeriets shop is ready for its new grand opening comprising the country's largest digital signage solution. The scope is unique - with a total of 35 large flat-panel displays and projectors in addition to several interactive terminals - all of them implemented in one store. There is no doubt that this is the largest single installation of digital signage in Norway ever, says Jørgen Waaler, CEO of PSI Group, and adds: - It also shows that the market is developing fast - and that PSI's digital signage solution has a significant potential both in Norway and abroad - on a marketplace that the experts are expecting to grow strongly in the future. At the same time, it is of substantial importance that Mestergruppen conducted a thorough analysis and in-depth evaluation of various solutions, before choosing our complete application and hardware concept in digital signage. We are very pleased to be considered the best and most suitable provider to one of Norway's leading chains within building and home improvement products which now is focusing heavily on in-store digital signage solutions. Great potential With digital signage from PSI, MyTV Media, complete solutions are offered comprising application solutions developed by PSI and related hardware. A large proportion of deliveries to the stores in Byggeriet will consist of application and licence revenues related to the software developed and owned by PSI. The agreement is formally signed by Mestergruppen AS, which also owns Byggeriet, and PSI Media Solutions, which is a part of the new business area Retail Solutions in PSI. Byggeriet has about 100 stores across the country, of which about 20 percent are owned by the chain itself. The intention is that all the stores in the chain are to implement PSI's solution for digital signage in the long term.
