HOUSTON, Sept. 15, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HCC) announced today that the Company's Houston offices will be closed through Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 due to hurricane-related power outages. The Houston offices are currently without power but have sustained minimal damage and hope to reopen by Thursday, September 18th, 2008.

"All HCC email, Internet and other vital systems that were relocated to back-up locations in advance of the storm have been restored in Houston and it is business as usual.
