Manitakos has joined the company as president of its Surveillance Systems Group.
Mr. Manitakos has extensive industry experience, most recently as president of the Surveillance Division at ICx Technologies where he was responsible for a broad portfolio of military-grade surveillance technologies. Previously, Mr. Manitakos worked at FLIR Systems for over 17 years, ultimately serving as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of FLIR's North Billerica, MA facility. During his management tenure at FLIR, Mr. Manitakos significantly grew their land and airborne infrared imaging businesses. Mr. Manitakos succeeds Randy Moore who recently left Axsys to pursue other career opportunities.
