SCHOTT Solar AG extends subscription period
Mainz, 30 September 2008 - The subscription period for the shares to be
issued as part of the planned SCHOTT Solar AG IPO will be extended until 8
October 2008. This decision was taken today by SCHOTT Solar AG together
with the selling shareholder, SCHOTT AG, and the Joint Global
Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and J.P.
Morgan.
This decision was taken against the background of current events in the
international capital markets, in particular the Congressional rejection of
the US administrations USD 700 billion rescue package on Monday.
Originally scheduled to end on 1 October 2008, the subscription period will
now end at 12 noon (CET) for retail investors and 3 p.m. (CET) for
institutional investors respectively. The final placement price and the
final placement volume are to be determined and published on 8 October
2008. Trading in the SCHOTT Solar share is planned to commence on 9 October
2008. The company, the selling shareholder and the Joint Global
Coordinators reserve the right to shorten the subscription period.
