Uncertainty regarding a claim that fell on Eimskip following XL Leisure being put into administration

-Eimskip's core business continues to show good results, and long term
financing underway 

Due to recent events, and in light of Samson eignarhaldsfelag ehf. request for
administration earlier today, great uncertainty surrounds the presumed
acquirement of the claim, announced by Eimskip on September 10th, by
significant investors. Said claim derives from the administration of XL Group,
amounting to EUR 207 million. 

Uncertainty surrounds the claim, as well as Eimskip's long term financing. The
financial reorganization of the Group continues, and the planned sales of
assets continues. Eimskip's transport business is strong, the daily operations
are ensured and Eimskip's services will remain unchanged.
