MC Squared Energy Services LLC Is Launched

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - December 18, 2008) - MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2), an Illinois-based retail electricity supply company, announced today its formation as a result of a joint venture between Lower Electric LLC, Rock Creek Energy Partners LLC and Wolverine Trading LLC.

Effective immediately, mc2 will manage the responsibility for Lower Electric's existing retail electric supply and customer service commitments. Currently serving over 250 accounts in Illinois, Lower Electric is an Alternative Retail Electricity Supplier (ARES) licensed by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) since 2004. mc2 will assume the ARES license from Lower Electric pending ICC approval.

mc2 has a local experienced team that will offer advisory services to Illinois businesses seeking competitive electricity supply products and services. mc2, through its full service wholesale trading partner, Wolverine Trading, is uniquely positioned to offer customers innovative and reliable energy management and power purchasing strategies.

In addition, mc2 will provide customers with alternative energy supply options including renewable energy credits to meet state and federal regulatory requirements for renewable portfolio standards. The company will also help customers understand how to reduce energy consumption through energy efficiency strategies that can be tailored to meet their specific needs.
