NEW YORK, Jan. 5, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Trustees of PIMCO Municipal Income Fund (NYSE:PMF) (the "Fund"), a closed-end management investment company which seeks to provide current income exempt from federal income tax, announced today that they have declared a dividend of $0.08125 per common share.
The dividend will be payable on February 2, 2009 to shareholders of record on January 15, 2009, with an ex-dividend date of January 13, 2009.
At December 31, 2008, the Fund's net assets were $401.4 million (inclusive of market value of Preferred Stock of $200 million).
