Santa Barbara and REELcomp.com Welcome 26th Annual RINCON Classic

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - January 16, 2009) - Luthier PR -- The city of Santa Barbara, CA and REELcomp.com welcome local residents to Rincon Point for the 26th annual RINCON Classic this Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18th for the best in surf competition featuring local and national surfers. The entire event will be streamed live at REELcomp.com, the ultimate online board sports viral video platform.

The event is open to the public and tickets for the Award Ceremony will be sold for $25, with a portion of proceeds benefitting The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, Hugs For Cubs, Heal The Ocean and the Surf Happens Foundation.

This year has something for everyone featuring a scavenger hunt for the kids, live and silent auction, raffle, still and video highlights hot off the presses from the event, fully catered dinner from Wahoo's, beverages provided by Red Bull & Pacific Beverage Company who will also be featuring the popular Red Bull Air Show competition, live music by Cornerstone, and the official 09 RINCON Classic awards presentation honoring finalists, event staff, and sponsors. Surf legends Tom Curran and the "Sheriff," along with a few surprise guests, will be available for autographs over the weekend.
