AnviCom, Inc., a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Command Information, to Support Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command

Company to Provide Modernization and Lifecycle Engineering Services for Mission-Critical Supply Chain System

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - January 26, 2009) - AnviCom, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Command Information, the premier provider of next generation network services, today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Transportation Command to provide modernization and lifecycle engineering support for a mission-critical supply chain system for the Army's Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). The contract, awarded through the GSA Schedules program, is for one base year with four option years and is valued at $33 million, if all options are exercised.

"The ability to manage cargo at sea is an essential capability for today's 'on-the-move' military," said Mike Proper, Vice President of Business Development and Sales, Federal Division, Command Information. "Through this project, we will better enable SDDC's supply chain and ultimately better enable the warfighter. We are extremely excited to initiate work on this program."

Under the terms of the agreement, Command Information will provide its engineering services for the development and operation of the Integrated Booking System (IBS). Used by all military services, Joint organizations, commercial businesses, and federal civilian agencies, the IBS is the lead execution system for the worldwide surface movement of military cargo overseas. The IBS consists of 12 integrated software modules that support the entire set of business processes for forecasting, acquiring, executing, and tracking ocean cargo movements around the globe -- in peacetime and in war.

"As a U.S. Army command, SDDC is a world-class organization that provides responsive, reliable, and cost-effective logistics support to the warfighter," said Proper. "We will be working with an exceptional team -- including Nortel Government Solutions, QinetiQ North America, and JAC Consulting -- to support this mission-critical agency. We look forward to the challenge."
