NewMarket Technology, Inc.'s RKM IT Solutions, Microsoft Venezuela and EDC Co-Host Children's Internet Safety Workshop Pilot Project

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - January 29, 2009) - NewMarket Technology, Inc.'s (PINKSHEETS: NMKT) subsidiary RKM IT Solutions recently hosted a Children's Internet Safety Workshop pilot project for 90 fifth and sixth graders. The two-day workshop, co-hosted by Microsoft Venezuela, Electricidad de Caracas (EDC) and RKM, was aimed at educating children on the dangers of the Internet and how to safely and effectively enjoy the Internet. Additionally, the participating companies actively support legislation and other regulations to protect children from the dangers of the Internet.

Electricidad de Caracas, a client of RKM, provides electricity to more than one million residential and commercial customers around Caracas, Venezuela. NewMarket has previously announced RKM's contracts to provide 3,000 Microsoft Forefront workstations (http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/081014/0442620.html) for the electric company, as well as a multi-year Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/080603/0403262.html).

RKM is a 16-year-old systems integration firm based in Venezuela. RKM is a Microsoft Large Account Reseller in Venezuela and recently received the prestigious Associate of the Year in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions award at FOCUS 2009. Virtual Town Hall Now Available on Corporate Website
