TeraRecon Releases Aquarius iNtuition(TM) 4.4 at ECR 2009

VIENNA, AUSTRIA--(Marketwire - March 9, 2009) - TeraRecon, Inc. (www.terarecon.com), a
global provider of advanced visualization solutions, announced the release
of Aquarius iNtuition ("AQi") Version 4.4 at the 21st European Congress of
Radiology, held in Vienna, Austria.

delivered the world's first fully-featured client server advanced
visualization solution. iNtuition is the only true client-server advanced
visualization technology available on the market today, that can address
the suite of applications generally expected to be available by medical

technology to achieve a facsimile of 'thin-client' operation, but rather,
AQi has been designed from the ground up as a truly native client-server

client-server technology for a full suite advanced visualization tools, but

Among the new features available with AQi 4.4 are dedicated tools for
Endovascular Aortic Repair Planning (EVAR), user-customizable measurement
protocols with export to XML, CSV or text format for RIS interfacing, and a
comprehensive package for CT Colon review, supporting both Primary 2D and
Primary 3D interpretation styles. Also included are a Time-Dependence
Analysis (TDA) package for perfusion studies, and an enhanced client-server
version of the company's "SAT" oncology package, supporting segmentation,
analysis and tracking of masses and lesions from CT or MR data in any
anatomical location, including lung (nodule analysis), brain and liver. The
SAT tool is now generally available for use at any time during image
review, and it features automated selection of morphology or pathology
along with calculation of dimensions and volumes and progression/regression
monitoring.
AQi 4.4 also features improvements to the previously-available cardiac and
vascular analysis tools, and to the AquariusWEB viewer, which now supports
more interaction with vascular analysis views, and the ability to provide a
referring physician or patient with a simple link for Web access to a
dataset that requires only a password for access to the study. Such web
access to images has the potential to remove the need to burn images on CD,
while providing better opportunities for logging and auditing of image
access.
In 2009, TeraRecon is expanding upon its strong commitment to support its
many PACS and RIS partners around the world by augmenting their workflow
with integrated access to the iNtuition client from within their review
station environments. Integrated access to iNtuition functionality is
available for demonstration at the booths of many RIS and PACS companies at
ECR 2009.
